Discovering the Magic of Russian Classical Music

Russian composer Igor Stravinsky visited Wellington in 1961 and conducted the New Zealand National Orchestra in a performance of his dramatic Firebird suite. After a brief research I found this clip that shows the orchestra playing the finale at the Wellington Town Hall for you to enjoy https://teara.govt.nz/en/video/44804/the-composer-conducts .

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra concerts in 2021 are also a journey of discovering the magic and intensity of live Russian classical music! Soldier’s Tale, Firebird, The Rite of Spring and NYO Leningrad. Moving. Dramatic. Powerful. Sensitive. You can get your tickets at the NZSO website: https://www.nzso.co.nz/concerts-and-tickets/season-2021/
